Social Security Pension
Welfare Pension is a financial assistance scheme implemented through the Local Self-Government Department and various Welfare Fund Boards to ensure financial security for people belonging to different sections of society in Kerala. The pension status of yourself or a beneficiary can be checked directly through the Sevana Pension Portal.
Pension Categories and Eligibility Criteria
The various pension schemes available through the Panchayat and their eligibility criteria are as follows:
Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension
A monthly pension provided to eligible senior citizens aged 60 years and above, subject to the prescribed eligibility conditions.
Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension
A pension scheme implemented by the government for individuals facing physical or mental disabilities.
Pension for Unmarried Women Above 50 Years of Age
A special pension provided by the government for eligible unmarried women aged 50 years and above.
Agricultural Workers’ Pension
Financial assistance provided during old age to workers who have been engaged in agricultural labour throughout their lives.
